You don’t have to be good with money to get better at managing it

When money feels overwhelming, it can be hard to know where to start.

Maybe you’re earning money but still wondering where it goes. Perhaps debt keeps hanging over you, saving feels impossible, or you’ve tried budgeting before and it never seems to last.

Budget Right: Eliminate Debt and Improve Your Financial and Mental Wellbeing was written to help you understand what’s happening with your money and give you practical steps to start changing it.

This isn’t a book about being perfect with money. And it isn’t about cutting out everything you enjoy.

It’s about learning how to manage the money you have, understanding the habits and emotions that can influence your spending, and creating a realistic plan for moving forward.

More than a budgeting book

Money isn’t only about numbers.

Our spending can be influenced by stress, emotions, habits, convenience and what is happening in our lives. That’s why Budget Right looks beyond simply telling you how much you should spend.

Through practical strategies, real-life examples and simple exercises, you’ll learn how to become more aware of your financial habits and make more intentional decisions with your money.

You’ll explore how to:

  • Understand where your money is really going
  • Separate needs from wants and make more conscious spending decisions
  • Create a realistic budget you can maintain
  • Recognise emotional spending triggers and develop practical “fixers”
  • Set up your bank accounts to make managing money easier
  • Build an emergency fund and savings
  • Tackle debt using a clear, step-by-step approach
  • Set financial goals and track your progress
  • Develop healthier money habits for the future

A practical approach developed through real-life experience

I didn’t write Budget Right because I’ve always been good with money.

My own journey has included significant debt, gambling, financial setbacks and times when I didn’t manage money well. I’ve experienced the stress that financial problems can create – and I also know what it takes to start rebuilding.

Learning to budget, understand my behaviour, take responsibility for my decisions and manage my money differently changed the direction of my life.

Budget Right grew from those lessons.

I wanted to create the kind of practical guide I wish I’d had earlier – something that explains what to do, but also helps you understand why you may be struggling with money in the first place.

There’s no judgement here. You start from where you are and work forward from there.

Put what you learn into practice

Budget Right isn’t designed to be read and then put back on the shelf.

Throughout the book, you’ll find exercises and practical activities that encourage you to look at your own money, spending habits, goals and behaviours.

Your paperback also includes FREE access to the Budget Right Spreadsheet, valued at $14.95.

You’ll find a unique code inside the book to download your copy. The spreadsheet gives you a practical way to organise your income and expenses and continue using the Budget Right approach after you finish reading.

Is the Budget Right book for you?

This book may be a good place to start if you:

  • Feel like your money disappears before the next payday
  • Want to budget but aren’t sure how to make one work in real life
  • Are carrying debt and want a practical plan for tackling it
  • Find yourself spending when you’re stressed, emotional or overwhelmed
  • Want to start saving but struggle to make consistent progress
  • Have made money mistakes and want to move forward rather than stay stuck in them
  • Want to feel more organised and confident when managing your money

You don’t need a high income, perfect financial history or complicated system to begin.

You need to understand where you are now, decide where you want to go and start taking practical steps towards it.

Budget Right can help you take those steps.

Budget Right provides financial education and general information only. It does not provide personal financial, legal, accounting or taxation advice. Consider your own circumstances and seek professional advice where appropriate.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have read the Budget Right book and the insight the author shares from her life sheds light on how our wellbeing and mindfulness can affect all facets of life, including our debt accumulation and financial situation. Carrie-Ann’s experiences have let her write an easy to read and understand book on how to get our finances back on track and doesn’t include a lot of jargon that is hard to understand or comprehend. The notes pages and other pages you can write on if you choose to, are a good addition to the book too. I’m sure Budget Right will benefit and provide the tools for lots of people who are needing some direction. And it’s a great price too.
